WHAT HAPPENED TO GALE?
I know we find out he gets a ‘fancy job’ and ends up living in District 2, but I would have loved to find out he had met a girl, fallen in love and started a family. I really did love Gale and although Katniss couldn’t look at him the same after everything, I wished that they’d stayed friends at least because I know he cared about her more than anything else in his life, to me Gale is considered a hero, he saved so many people in the Seam before the destruction of District 12, he stood by Katniss’ side through so much and then we don’t find out if he ended up with his own happy ending. It’s tragic and it is a question I wish was answered at the end of Mockingjay.

Also, i’ve just been informed that by buying tickets with Event Cinemas, you go in the running to attend the Australian movie premier! There’s no word on whether Josh, Jennifer or Liam will be attending as of yet.

THE HUNGER GAMES 30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 10 - PEETA OR GALE?

I mean, this is like asking me to choose between sleeping or eating! Peeta is the perfect man any girl could wan’t, he idolizes Katniss and adores her completely and knows how to cook which is irresistible. He’s strong and brave and everything I look for in a guy. But then there’s Gale, the dreamy gorgeous protective best friend that also has made my heart melt. Gale is so perfect to me as well because i’m so in love with the idea of falling in love with your best friend. I seriously cannot choose between these two and I’m glad I didn’t have to! In saying that, I couldn’t stop smiling when Katniss ended up with Peeta.
THE HUNGER GAMES 30 DAY CHALLENGE: DAY 04 - A CHARACTER YOU LOVE THAT EVERYONE HATES
GALE HAWTHORNE
I don’t know why, but I really feel like Gale was always given the short end of the stick. He was in love with his best friend of many years and most likely assumed that they were going to end up together, but the games changed everything and introduced Katniss to a different kind of love. A lot of people dislike Gale because some say he was getting in the way of Katniss and Peeta or they think he’s the reason behind Prim’s death. (He isn’t.) Which causes a lot of hate towards him, but I can honestly say I love his character, he always stood by Katniss and loved her enough to let her go. I just wish he got a better ending instead of just moving out to District 4.
