RUE
Rue was such a beautifully written character, she’s so soft, gorgeous and so fragile. The way she died was so brutal and frightening, I would have much preferred that she could have lived, but in a way I understand that she had to in order for Katniss to keep fighting for the rebellion, but she was so fragile and gentle and didn’t even get a chance to live her life. I cried when she died in the book, and I know i’ll be the one up the back of the cinema absolutely sobbing during the movie the fifth time I see it.

ALL THE DEATHS
I couldn’t just pick one of them! Every single time someone close to Katniss died, I cried because I felt like they were close to me too. Rue’s death was so tragic but so beautiful at the same time, when Katniss was singing the lullaby I got so teared up, you’d think I knew Rue personally. Cinna was also a huge death to me, a lot of people just have brushed it off and shrug their shoulders, but since the first page Cinna was introduced I thought he was amazing and I could tell he was an incredible man and his death was so brutal and personal, Katniss having to watch and not being able to to anything was so disturbing and haunting, i’ll always love Cinna! And Finnick, what can I even say about that? everyone’s heart broke when that love story came to a quick end, he did so much for Katniss and the Rebellion and was a hero. I’ll always class him as a hero, his love story as so admirable and beautiful, I literally had to put my book down for a few minutes after reading his death just to fully take it in, and I was kind of hoping at the end he’d turn up in District 12 alive again, half naked, offering sugar cubes to Katniss. Sadly - he didn’t.

I know you all love The Hunger Games just as much as I do, so please please watch this if your internet lets you! It’s the death scene of Rue and it’s acted out incredibly. It goes for ten minutes but I assure you, you will not regret it!
Please watch it! I was just sitting here crying thinking how bad i’m going to be during the actual movie with the actual actors!
